Dolce Vita on Sanctum Red Barrel

We are pleased to share that Dolce Vita has published an article about our wine Sanctum Red Barrel 2021.

Red Barrel is a special single vineyard wine made from Syrah, produced only in the finest vintages, when nature allows the grapes to reach full ripeness and true expression of the site. It is crafted patiently and matured in used French and Slavonian oak barrels, where it gains depth, elegance and balance over time.

In his review, Gorazd Selič highlights the remarkable combination of power and drinkability, vibrant acidity, full body and surprising freshness at a modest alcohol level. It is precisely this tension between energy and elegance that defines the character of Red Barrel.

For us, Red Barrel is a wine of exceptional vintages. It is made rarely, and only when the season truly allows it. For that reason, we are especially honoured to see its story recognised by respected wine voices.
