Wine tastings

We invite you to discover an authentic wine experience in the intimate setting of the Sanctum winery, where wine, heritage, stories and cuisine come together. During a guided tour of the estate and winery, you will discover our vineyards, winemaking philosophy and the character of the Styrian terroir, before enjoying a tasting of carefully selected Sanctum wines, aged in oak barrels.

Our tastings are complemented by thoughtfully selected culinary pairings, created in collaboration with local producers. We offer a range of tasting experiences, from a relaxed introduction to our wines to complete wine and culinary journeys featuring carefully prepared dishes and our house specialities.

Upon request, your wine experience can also be enhanced with a cultural, artistic or live musical performance, and tailored to your preferences.

Our aim is to create an unforgettable experience where exceptional wines, delicious food, stories and memorable moments come together as one.

Our most popular tasting experience

  • Guided tour of the Sanctum estate,

  • guided tasting of 7 Sanctum wines aged in wooden barrels,

  • homemade bread canapés with cod, smoked salmon, capers – paired with our white wines,

  • homemade bread canapés with organic fresh goat cheese and cured prosciutto – paired with our red wines,

  • house bread, cold cuts, cheese plate and

  • Beef Bourguignon prepared according to Julia Child’s recipe, cooked with our wine My Red.

SANCTUM PREMIUMfrom 80 € / person*

  • Guided tour of the Sanctum estate,

  • guided tasting of 9 Sanctum wines aged in wooden barrels,

  • homemade bread canapés with cod, smoked salmon, capers – paired with our white wines,

  • homemade bread canapés with organic fresh goat cheese and cured prosciutto – paired with our red wines,

  • lunch/dinner: a warm or cold starter (seasonal vegetable soup or oxheart tomato with buffalo mozzarella), a main course (rump steak or beef tenderloin or roasted chicken, or salmon, served with a side dish), fresh salad and

  • Sanctum dessert.

SANCTUM personalised package

PRICE AND OFFER BY ARRANGEMENT, for fewer than 4 persons or larger groups:

  • Guided tour of the Sanctum estate,

  • wine tasting by arrangement and

  • catering by arrangement.

The tasting of each additional bottle of wine is charged according to the current price list. We reserve the right to change the wine and food offer according to the seasonal availability (by prior arrangement). Tastings must be booked at least 3 working days in advance. By prior arrangement, tours and tastings/celebrations for larger groups are also possible. The price of a broken glass is 10 €. Every tasting is limited in time, Sanctum Gourmet lasts a maximum of 3 hours. Any type of tasting can be extended, whereby each additional hour is charged 20 € and at least one additional bottle is ordered.

*The price of the tastings depends on the number of guests. The price of our most popular tasting, Sanctum Gourmet, is 45 €/person for 8 persons or more; 50 €/person for 6 or 7 persons; 60 €/person for 4 or 5 persons. The price of the Sanctum Medi package is 35 €/person for 6 persons or more and 40 €/person for 4 or 5 persons.

 

 

Events & Wine experiences

With prior notice, we organise events and wine tastings and wine experiences for larger groups (up to 100 visitors).

On request, we organise one of a kind wine-culinary experiences. We invite Slovenian top chefs to serve their superb culinary specialities along our unique wines.

We like to connect with Slovenia’s manager’s who can host their business partners at our premises, and thus ensure a peasant experience for them. With prior notice, everyone who loves wine is welcome – small groups, families, and friends.
