Dolce Vita Features Sanctum’s Carthusian Red

We are pleased to share that Dolce Vita magazine has published an article about our Carthusian Red 2022.

This is a 100% Blaufränkisch from our Žička gorca vineyard, a single-vineyard wine fermented with native yeasts and aged for one year in French oak barriques.

In his article, Gorazd Selič pays particular attention to Blaufränkisch as a traditional Slovenian variety and its Styrian origins. He describes Carthusian Red as a wine with expressive and precise aromas, lively acidity, juiciness, and a harmonious, polished character. He also highlights its connection to the terroir and the origins of the variety.

For us, Carthusian Red represents exactly that – a tribute to Blaufränkisch, its origins, and the terroir in which it grows. We are especially pleased to see its story recognised by Gorazd Selič in Dolce Vita.

Thank you to Dolce Vita and Gorazd Selič for the feature.
